I am a multidisciplinary creative based in Glasgow and Kent UK, working across film, sound, drawing and writing. My personal work is generally concerned with finding moments of connectivity/protest/joy/poetry within our often disempowering socio-political condition. I also work in film & tv in the art department, where I work with objects and spaces to create environments that tell a story. I am currently working on developing moving image work that marrys both of these elements of my practice.
Caught somewhere between inertia & protest, my work is for / about both coping mechanism & antidote, collective grief and ecstacy. I’m interested in the rhythms of nature and the dance-floor; sound is a time-machine and the dance-floor a space of resistance, shifting through jungle-beats-to-dead-end-night-shift-equilibrium. Previous to my current practice I spent two years working collectively as part of Constellations (2019) and Open School East (2018).
